You need to understand the operation of the underlying accounting entries for use in either a Manual or a Computerised Accounting System. You may have studied these principles in school and now need to bring your knowledge up to date. You may be using a computerized accounts package and find that you do not fully understand the postings that occur. Accounting is a language: a language that provides information about the financial position of an organization. When you study accounting you are essentially learning this specialized language. By learning this language you can communicate and understand the financial operations of any and all types of organizations.
